On November 28, users of the Binance cryptocurrency exchange from Belarus received a letter stating that the platform would no longer provide services to them. For BlockchainJournal, Binance spokesman Gleb Kostarev confirmed the authenticity of the letter.
“In connection with the latest updates of the Terms of Use (CI), we regret to inform you that we will no longer be able to provide you with our services in the future. If you have not read our PIs, we strongly recommend that you do this, ”says Binance.
The UI Exchange states that Binance reserves the right to change the UI at any time and at its discretion.
“Using Binance services, you confirm that you are not on any trade or economic sanctions lists, in particular, the sanctions lists of the UN Security Council or the Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC). Binance reserves the right to choose markets and jurisdictions for the operation of the exchange and may restrict or terminate the provision of services for residents of certain countries, ”stated in UI Binance.
The exact dates when the bitcoin exchange will stop servicing are unknown. According to Gleb Kostarev, residents of Russia will not be affected by these restrictions.
Recall that in early November, Binance called on residents of Iran to withdraw funds.
