An error

was detected in the software update of the hardware wallet Ledger Nano S
The French hardware maker Ledger confirmed that it revealed an error in the Ledger Nano S update that appeared in mid-January, which reduced the memory capacity of the device.
Ledger also tried to convince users that they did not intentionally degrade the functional characteristics of the crypto wallet before the release of the new model – Ledger Nano X, equipped with an increased memory capacity. On the contrary, with software version 1.5.5, the device should have demonstrated a higher level of security using a new cryptographic algorithm.
Now the development team is making every effort to correct the error. In addition, Ledger Nano S support will be added to the Ledger Live mobile application launched in late January.
