The Blockstream company introduced a solution code called MuSig, which allows developers to test the technology of Schnorr signatures and find possible errors.

#MuSig code is now merged into secp256k1-zkp! MuSig is a new #Schnorr multisignature scheme for compact and private multisig transactions. #Bitcoin #LiquidNetwork ? https://t.co/LxV0CscVvt pic.twitter.com/idHsSP4pRM

    – Blockstream (@Blockstream) 18 February 2019 p.

“From an academic article, we turned MuSig into usable code. And this week we combined this code with secp256k1-zkp, the fork of secp256k1, a highly reliable cryptographic library that Bitcoin Core uses , ”wrote Andrew Poelstra, Blockstream developer.

The Blockstream developers posted the MuSig code on GitHub and expressed the hope that the community would test a new solution and leave their feedback about it.

Signatures Schnorr – one of the most anticipated updates for the Bitcoin network. This solution can increase the confidentiality of transactions and improve the scalability of the first cryptocurrency.

The concept of Schnorr’s signatures involves combining signatures into one data input instead of processing each of them separately. Thus, by reducing the storage space on the blockchain, network bandwidth increases.

Recall that in January last year, the developers of Bitcoin Core published a white paper on the implementation of the authentication scheme and electronic signature Shnorr.
