Apple Inc. based in Cupertino reported to the US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) on the observance of human rights in a global network of suppliers of raw materials for production. At the same time, the document states that Apple was involved in the development of the Blockchain Handbook for the Responsible Business Alliance (RBA) initiative in mineral supply chains. It is reported by CoinDesk .

The RBA documentation for the blockchain was published in mid-December 2018. The goal was to develop a single set of standards and definitions at the industry level to use blockchain technology for monitoring supply chains of raw materials. Apple is a member of the initiative.

Note that the corporation also served as the RBA chairman in 2018 and participated in the work of internal committees, including the blockchain working group.

However, it is not known for certain whether Apple intends to develop its own solution in the field of distributed registry technology.

Recall, the co-founder of the corporation Steve Wozniak is a kind of apologist for Bitcoin.
