The second in catalyzing cryptocurrency Ethereum seems to be ready for hardfork again. This time the update will differ from the one proposed earlier, since there will be two forks in one block at once – the initial update Constantinople, and the second update – Petersburg.
According to the report, hard forks will occur on February 25, 2019, and not on February 27, as was previously stated. Forks take place on block No. 7,280,000, around 11:49:25 UTC.
Afri Shoedon, Ethereum hard forks coordinator and Parity Technologies manager, wrote on Reddit:
“Constantinople is activated on Monday 2019-02-25 11:54:02 UTC. The current average block time is 16.89 seconds. There are 91597 units left (7188403/7280000) ”.
It is noteworthy that this is the third time when the community is preparing for the hard forks, as it is twice postponed to a later date.
