The other day, the creator of Ethereum Vitaly Buterin caused a storm in Twitter, saying that he does not believe in Proof-of-Work . He shared his opinion in the comments on the tweet of the famous Bitcoin evangelist and BHB Network CEO Giacomo Zucco.
Zukko's tweet looked like this :
“Noukoineri do not believe in anything (nihilism). Multicoiners believe in everything (gullibility). Bitcoiners believe in something (reason). ”
To which Buterin replied :
“I do not believe in Proof-of-Work!”

Representatives of the crypto-community reacted to this statement with multiple comments, mostly critical.
So, one of the commentators, Crypto Domains, pointed out the absurdity of Buterin’s statement, comparing it with the lack of faith in oxygen.

"I do not believe in Ethereum"
"Fortunately, the bitcoin sidechains make Ethereum obsolete, so people do not need to believe in you."
"Of course, the Proof-of-Scam is much more efficient."
And surprised :
“Isn't Ethereum working on PoW?”
“Then why are you using it for Ethereum?” Like a ploy to make unsuspecting people invest? ”
Well-known cryptanalyst and investor Jimmy Song also participated in the discussion, saying that he "does not believe in Vitalik."
Buterin himself did not enter into discussions and did not add anything else to his words.
