Dan Larimer, technical director of blockchain-startup Block.one, the main developer of software for the EOS network, said that in the development process, EOS was thinking about creating a token that would be invulnerable, non-programmable and would perform only the currency role. The preliminary name of the project is MonerEOS .
Some media outlets suggested that this could mean Larimer's withdrawal from the EOS project in the near future, but he hastened to assure the community that he would continue working on a platform that he considers to be a future blockchain.
Note that in the past, Larimer has already left the projects BitShares and Steemit.
He also stressed that the hypothetical token MonerEOS will be characterized by compromise solutions that the community may not like.
At the moment, the price of EOS has returned to the values of the beginning of December of last year, and over the past 24 hours, the fall was more than 12%.
