Led by the Winklevoss brothers of the crypto-exchange, Gemini announced that the digital assets of users stored by the platform would be insured, reports CoinDesk .
The Gemini Trust Company notes that Aon, a global company, will provide professional insurance services. The latter also specializes in risk management, pension and healthcare consulting.
Also, according to representatives of the exchange, Gemini was able to prove to insurers that it is "the leading exchange and high-class custodian." Gemini risk manager Yusuf Hussain stressed that users need the same level of insurance protection as traditional financial institutions.
Recall that last month the Winklevoss Brothers Exchange announced the launch of Gemini Dollar (GUSD) pegged to the US dollar.
