MyEtherWallet announced today that it has officially launched the MEWconnect application for secure logon and access to MEW accounts that store Ethereum (ETH) and ERC-20 tokens.
MEWconnect works similarly to products like Ledger or Trezor, so users can safely store and access their tokens, and MEWconnect can be downloaded for free.
Founder and CEO MEW Kosala Hemachandra stressed in a statement that accompanied the launch of the application:
"We believe that this application will play a key role in the wider implementation of the crypto currency, and we look forward to being part of this process"
The news came shortly after MEW announced its cooperation with Simplex, which provides worldwide processing of payments without fraud.
According to MEW, the beta version for Android will be released later this month.
