2018 turned out to be the worst for bitcoin investors

Published

According to the analytical service Messari , the return on investment (ROI) in Bitcoin for the year amounted to -71.52%.

As can be seen from the table, the current ROI is worse than in 2014, when the bear market was similar in character.

However, long-term investors, who bought “digital gold” five years ago, clearly did not lose – during this time the market value of BTC increased almost four times (+ 394%).

We also note that in 2013, the bitcoin price growth was much more rapid than in 2017, when the historical maximum (All Time High, ATH) was reached at $ 20,000. In relation to ATH, the BTC price has now slipped by 81% .

Earlier, BlockchainJournal has published a review of long-term forecasts of the price of Bitcoin from well-known experts of the cryptoindustry.
